We're Home!!!!

WE ARE HOME!!!! Today we got home and are happy to be sleeping in our own bed. Our poor puppies are still at "camp" until tomorrow morning when Trent can pick them up. Apparently Mountain View is not open on Sunday's so we couldn't go and get them when we got home.

We are so tired but wanted to share a few more pictures of our trip...

So day three in Yellowstone:

As we drove back to the cabin on day two, we passed a few other places we wanted to see so we went back to them with Suzanne's parents on day three. There were some really pretty geyser basin's and one that could go off at any time. The last time it went off I believe was 1985 and they cannot predict its next eruption. It was so beautiful but it was a little chilly that day so there was a lot of fog. You cannot see the bright colors in the pictures, but you can use your imagination!

This geyser (picture above and below) was a rainbow of colors... it had this bright orange around then a little bit of yellow with the center a beautiful turquoise. I wish it was not as cold so the colors would transpose to pictures better. It has made me want to pain a room bright orange with turquoise accents!! Maybe you will see that in a few months ;)

Day four:

The drive home. So Cort said that if we took a small detour we could see another beautiful waterfall. Boy, was he right. Below is a picture of Mesa Falls. It was not the steepest waterfall but it was pretty wide. The side of the canyon was so green as it was covered in moss, the contrast of the blue water and green mountain side was amazing. Apparently three men went over these falls in a rubber raft not too long ago and survived. I guess some people get to experiences the feeling of the rail actually breaking (read the previous post if this references doesn't make sense).

We will be home for the next few days before we head off to Cali!!! Before we go we will update you with a few more pictures. A sneak peak of what to come... Antelope.. Bald Eagle.. Buffalo.. Pres. Obama.. and even ........ Big Foot (no joke)!!!!

Until Next Time...

Those pictures are gorgeous! How fun...I've always wanted to go there. Maybe someday, I went when I was like 3 yrs old and don't remember anything. So question for you??? I noticed you said you left your dogs at a kennel place...how much does that cost?? Troy and I usually leave our dogs with my parents when we go on vacation. But we might be going on vacation with them in December and don't have anyone to watch our dogs.

Mandy, We boarded them at Mt. View Animal Hospital in Sandy. It was $33/day for our two dogs to share a large kennel.
