"Cheers to a New Year and another chance for us to get it right. -- Oprah Winfrey"

2011

This will be a year to remember. 2010 was a great year, we had so much fun and many experiences we will never forget but I think 2011 will blow 2010 away!

We have a few fun trips planned such as our Stake Trek in July
(the hottest month of the year) as Ma and Pa.

And St. Thomas in September (hurricane season.. we might not be the best trip planners out there).

I am sure a few California and Las Vegas trips will sneak in there but as I now have zero vacation time left for 2011... they will be quick weekend trips.

One thing that I am doing this year is setting GOALS! I have always been opposed to setting any New Year's Resolution because I don't feel setting them in January makes any different than setting them in March. Anyways... This year someone was talking to me about writing down 100 goals that you would like to complete in life regardless of what they were. I thought it was a stupid idea but after thinking about it for months I am starting to see the point. When writing down goals or a 'to do list' you are more likely to complete those goals or 'tasks' than if you just think about them. With my love of 'to-do' lists and this new revelation, I have decided to start writing down 100 goals to complete in this life. I am starting with a small list I can complete this year.

"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined." by Henry David Thoreau

This Spring
Prepare garden for planting by Mothers Day
Plant pumpkins, carrots, tomatoes, and squash
Can tomatoes grown from my garden and any other plants that survive
Win State Fair for BIGGEST pumpkin (not sure the categories but my pumpkin will be entered into the fair and will WIN)

“To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.” by Anatole France

By June 30, 2011
Reach 22% body fat
Reach 145 pounds
Bike half way up Big Cottonwood Canyon (to Brighton)
Pay off my credit card

“How vain it is to sit down to write when you have not stood up to live.” by Henry David Thoreau

By December 31, 2011
Reach and maintain 130 pounds*
Bike all the way up to Brighton Ski Resort, 14 miles up hill!*
Booked at least 24 photo shoots (average 2 a month)

“Existence would be intolerable if we were never to dream.” by Anatole France

Throughout the Year
Sew something new once a month
Not wait until Sunday MORNING to plan the primary lesson
Start playing the piano again ***regular***
Take pictures at family parties and events
Study (not read) the Book of Mormon - this must be completed before the trek in July
Strive harder to 'keep the sabbath day holy'
Also this year I would like to maintain bookclub/girls night/craft night every 4-6 weeks along with plan some fun movie premiere parties! First annual Pirates Party will be held this year so get ready!

This is a pretty long list of things to do so I better get going and start doing them!

Until Next Time...

I love it, You have some awesome goals. When you start your garden give me a call. Maybe I can come over and help you, since I want to start one as well and have absolutely no Idea what to do!

Wow, that was beautifully written, when did you get so grown up. I hope you reach all of those goals. I'm so jealous of your trek, that will be so fun, even if it is hot. Love you!!
