Dirty Bath Tub.... Post #3 on 6/6/09

My only question is why do they make bathtubs white? We use them to wash off DIRT. Everyone knows dirt shows up the best on white so why is the bathtub, were we clean ourselves from this dirt, white? We want to see exactly how dirty we were so we can appreciate being clean? Apparently. I do think we should start considering changing the standard color of bathtubs though.

On with the story...

Not every dog is a water loving dog, so in the mists on trying to get our dogs use to the bathtub (so bath time is not so hard), they discovered they can get fresh water from the faucet. That was not a problem until we started working on our backyard. When the dogs came in from playing outside, they were thirsty. The water in the tub was fresh and cold, so the logical choice for them was to run to the tub. I don't understand why it didn't click in my head that puppies playing in dirt plus running water would equal mud.... so we ended up with this:

Eww.... Muddy!

Yes, our nice white rugs are now a beautiful tan color!

One puppy caught in the act.

Two puppies caught in the act.
And no, this is not the same dog twice, they are brothers and are almost identical.

Then they go and act all cute like and snuggle up to each other. Who can resist that face?!

This was just too cute of a picture not to share. We took them for a car ride (they know those two words well) and they got so tired they fell asleep. Yes, that is Tucker (red collar) laying his head on top of Sketcher's (blue collar) head.

This is a big month for our boys, they will be turning ONE this month! It is very exciting as we are hoping to be out of the puppy stage soon. I would love to fix the kitchen walls so as soon as they stop chewing them, I can do that. They have been a fun addition to our family and we love them to death. Despite their sometimes obnoxious behavior, the love they give is amazing. I don't care what people say about the responsibility of having a dog, the rewards are great! If I could go back to last year I would not changed a thing! Thank you to all of you who put up with our dogs! They sure love you for it and so do we!

Until Next Time...
