Baby Wyatt is here!
Liz, Suzanne's sister just had her 2nd child. Joining their family is Wyatt Travis Johnson. He was born today at 9:40am and is 8lb. 0oz. and 21 inches long. The baby is healthy and mom is in a bit of pain, but otherwise doing fine. We're so happy that Sawyer has a little brother now!

Six
Believe it or not, six years ago today, Trent and Suzanne started dating. Who would've thought that it would've blossomed into what it is today. They have now been married for over 1 year and are as happy and in love as ever! This picture is from the first week we started dating. Hard to believe we were so young as I can still remember that day quite vividly.

Backyard update
So the sod is down! It made a huge difference back there. We also cleaned up a bit back there over the weekend and made one run to the landfill. And we have a few more truckloads we could make. But as you can see in the picture, the dogs love having grass to play in. And the rain over the weekend should certainly help out with making the sod stick.
We also spent a lot of time over the Memorial Day weekend working on the front of the house. Trent mowed the front lawn and killed some weeds while Suzanne planted some seeds in the hopes they turn into flowers. We also washed off the front of our house and it was even dirtier than we thought. Also Trent cleaned out a room in the basement as he will be moving his office in there soon which frees up the old office to be turned into a craft/reading room for Suzanne.

Transformation
Our back yard has always been the talk of the neighborhood, and not in a good way. A few years ago when it was just Trent and some roommates living there, the city code enforcement officer came by to let us know the lawn was not within code. Basically, it was an eyesore. Several years ago, seed was planted to grow the lawn and the front yard took pretty well. The backyard...not so much. It was filled with more weeds than grass. And a forest of aspen trees soon followed. Well, it's all about to change. This time, sod is getting laid in the backyard and we're creating some flower beds to line the yard with. We also have plans down the road to put in a water feature, a shed, and possibly a firepit. Here is the yard as of yesterday after ripping up the grass/weeds. We'll show you the progress as time(and money) allows.

Baseball game
Thanks to Suzanne's mom, we had the chance to go see the Salt Lake Bees in action last night. Best part of the deal, it was in a company suite. So we got a great view of the game without having to deal with drunk people all game. We also ran into our neighbors who happened to be just a couple of suites down. The start of the game was filled with multiple home runs(by the wrong team) so we decided to go get some of our favorite baseball game munchies. This included nachos, churros, pizza, and kettle corn popcorn. After all that, we couldn't even touch the free food in the suite. Don't worry though, we spread the food out over several innings.
There were quite a few great plays that kept the game close until the 6th inning. The Bees were down by 3 and it started getting pretty chilly, so we went home during the 7th inning stretch. Bad idea. The Bees scored 5 more runs after we left and won the game. Go Bees! We also decided we need to go to more of these games(sans suite), so if anybody is up for it, we're down.
Until next time...
